Ivan Kuzmich Lifanov,
Professor, Main Scientist in the Institute of Numerical Mathematics of the RAS, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Honored Professor of the Air Force Engineering Academy named after Nikolai Yegorovich Zhukovsky, Doctor of Science in physics and mathematics.
Before 1973, Mr. Lifanov's scientific papers dealt with general topology where he managed to get some results about the large inductive dimension for bicompact spaces and then built some examples with dim, Ind and ind dimension gaps for paracompact spaces.
Scientific interests since 1973: numerical methods in aerodynamics.
In his doctoral thesis, Mr. Lifanov provided a mathematical ground for the discrete vortex method to be used in the numerical solutions of aerodynamics problems for an ideal incompressible fluid. Thus, the problem that had remained unsolved for 25 years was solved. Later, he used the ideas of the discrete vortex method in electrodynamics, theory of elasticity, wave diffraction and other applied fields. He has recently been seriously involved in developing the theory and numerical methods of solving singular and one-dimensional and two-dimensional hypersingular integral equations in classes of generalized functions. His disciples and he used these results to solve the problem of a subsonic flow past an airfoil equipped with an external flow suction device and the problem of calculating the input resistance of a wire antenna.
He published more than 260 scientific papers, including 10 monographs (three of them in English and one in Ukrainian) and two textbooks.

GuidesArray Circular 0.1.4

GuidesArray Circular™ allows to execute electrodynamic modeling of two-dimensional phased antenna arrays for circular waveguides, using the method of moments.
